About us

#RescueMe - Suicide Prevention for First Responders has collaborated with SAFE CALL NOW, a 24/7  comprehensive, confidential, crisis hotline that has live, experienced peer supporters that are first responders who are eager to help their fellow brothers and sisters who may be experiencing a crisis. The RescueMe- Suicide Prevention for First Responders Campaign promotes & implements preventions and early intervention to reduce police suicide.

Law Enforcement suicide occurs 1.5 times more frequently compared to the general population. The estimated number of law enforcement suicides in the past decade is approximately 1,400 officers. It is estimated that there are approximately 125,000 active law enforcement officers on full duty who suffer with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PTSD is not the main cause of police suicide, but it is a factor of depression and untreated depression is responsible for the majority of law enforcement suicides. Society needs to recognize that these officers died because of service-connected mental illness brought on by witnessing and first hand experiencing a traumatic event or series of events. Lives can be saved if the proper treatment, education, and willingness of society, administrators, and law enforcement officers can #SPEAKUP and #REACHOUT without being judged or isolated for needing help.

Your purchase helps promote suicide awareness across the nation. Funds from these products go towards training, educational literature for law enforcement officers and their family members, and suicide prevention awareness publication. "We all can make a difference if we make the effort"
